Gavin Patterson CEO of BT spoke about the success of BT Sport and the £12.5 billion takeover of EE to the challenges faced by Openreach. He talked candidly with former BBC World anchor, Nisha Pillai, about life as leader of one of the world’s largest communications services companies.
BT now has 7.8 million broadband users, up from 6.9 million a couple of years ago, and revenue in the consumer division has increased by 7%. Under Gavin's guidance, the group’s share price now stands at more than twice its 2011 level.
With plans to get 95% of homes accessing fibre broadband by the end of the year, 2017 will be a big year for Gavin and BT. Join us for dinner to hear Gavin's leadership journey, his career highs and lows and what makes him tick today.
