We are looking forward to welcoming Gavin Patterson CEO of BT at this year's Annual Lecture. From the success of BT Sport and the £12.5 billion takeover of EE to the challenges faced by Openreach, Gavin will talk candidly with international moderator and journalist, Nisha Pillai, about life as leader of one of the world’s largest communications services companies.
BT now has 7.8 million broadband users, up from 6.9 million a couple of years ago, and revenue in the consumer division has increased by 7%. Under Gavin's guidance, the group’s share price now stands at more than twice its 2011 level.
With plans to get 95% of homes accessing fibre broadband by the end of the year, 2017 will be a big year for Gavin and BT. Join us for dinner to hear Gavin's leadership journey, his career highs and lows and what makes him tick today.
We're also pleased to say we have former BBC World News anchor - now a public speaker and moderator - Nisha Pillai hosting the conversation. Read her bio below.
