We’re shining a light on the important, but often not talked about subject of mental wellbeing.
The Marketing Society’s brave agenda is about pushing boundaries, having uncomfortable conversations and tackling taboos and emotional health is one of the key areas we are focusing on.
How do we as senior leaders make a difference?
In 2017 we launched Marketing 4 Change - an initiative designed to remove the stigma of mental health from the workplace, by getting senior leaders to talk candidly and inspire change. Since then, we have run events in New York, London and Singapore and hosted a session at the Dubai Lynx earlier this year on the topic.
We will be joined by Geoff McDonald, the former Global Vice President HR for Marketing, Communications, Sustainability, and Talent, Unilever and now one of the leading campaigners for mental health globally, who will be flying in from London.
Geoff is executive director of Open Minds Health, an organisation providing businesses with practical strategies to address workplace mental health. He has worked alongside ex British Prime Minister David Cameron and supports the work done by Prices William and Harry in their Royal Foundation.
Over a delicious breakfast, we will have a frank and open conversation about what is often called `the illness of our time.’
The event is sponsored by IMPACT BBDO.
