Managing director, Google Hong Kong
Dominic Allon is Google Hong Kong’s Managing Director and is focused on helping Hong Kong get the most out of the internet.
Previously he spent seven years working for Google UK where he transformed media agency partnerships and worked closely with the government and trade bodies to maintain digital advertising self-regulation. He also pioneered the Squared programme, a groundbreaking industry training initiative that is now scaling globally.
Prior to Google, Dominic worked at The Economist for seven years on international sales and business development. In 1999, he took an MBA from Imperial College, London having spent the previous three years at successful publishing start-up Student Pages, sold to DMGT.
Dominic has served on the Advertising Standards Authority’s General Media Panel, the Internet Advertising Bureau’s Policy Steering Group and the Communications Industry Parliamentary Debating Group. He recently joined the Government of Hong Kong’s new Steering Committee to accelerate tech education in secondary schools.
