Hugh became Global Ambassador of The Marketing Society in January 2017. Previously he was Chief Executive since April 2003.
He began his marketing career as a Unilever trainee at Birds Eye Foods in 1967 and progressed via the Manchester Business School to Collett Dickenson Pearce in 1972.
He spent the next thirty years in advertising, founding the agency Burkitt Weinreich Bryant in 1986, and retiring in 2002 as Chairman of Burkitt DDB. In 2005 he climbed Kilimanjaro to raise money for VSO projects in Tanzania.
