“Are we really there yet? Women in your businesses and how they thrive.”
We’ve made real progress in the Scottish marketing landscape, we have some impressive female leaders, but most of us would admit that senior teams in our agencies and marketing departments still don’t fully reflect the breadth of talent coming through that’s more diverse. The question now is less “what’s wrong with the pipeline? or our expectations?” and more “what could we, as leaders, do differently so that women can genuinely thrive in our organisations?”
This lunch is for Fellows – women and men – who are curious, open‑minded and ready to think honestly about what’s working, where we’re stuck, and what small, practical changes might unlock the next wave of progress. It’s a space to share experiences, hear from peers, and explore what thriving could look like in predominantly white, historically male‑led agencies and teams in Scotland, without no judgement, just a willingness to explore, learn and act.
Please join us in a candid, constructive conversation about what “there” might really look like, and how we can get closer, together.
We are delighted to welcome our guest speaker Jenn Barnett. Jenn is People Director, Global Leadership Programmes at Grant Thornton International Ltd, with deep expertise in equity, diversity, inclusion and culture change. A leading voice on gender equality in business, Jenn has spoken about the need for sustained action to improve women’s representation in senior leadership and has led work focused on removing gender disparity, progressing diverse talent and creating more inclusive workplace cultures.
