OUR SCOTLAND EVENT PROGRAMME

Annabel Leckenby

I've been a member of The Marketing Society Scotland for nearly six years, and it feels like being part of a close-knit community that brings together some of Scotland’s brightest marketing minds and iconic brands. The connections I’ve made and the insights I’ve gained have been incredibly valuable in keeping up with the latest trends and staying ahead in the industry. The Society does a great job of balancing insightful events, building meaningful connections, and offering resources when you need them.

Annabel Leckenby, Group Marketing Director, 3T Energy Leader Member, Scotland
Vicki Miller

The Marketing Society provides an incredible networking platform to learn from others, and to share and gain new insight, but what it also does is highlight the many career opportunities that exist in all the organisations that are part of the Society and has given profile to the important role marketers and marketing departments play in any organisation.

Vicki Miller Chief Executive Officer, VisitScotland Fellow, The Marketing Society Scotland
Ross Beveridge

My engagement with the Society deepened when I was nominated for the Client Rising Marketing Star Award. Reflecting on and celebrating my early career successes throughout the nomination process was incredibly valuable. Being interviewed by market leaders in Scotland not only boosted my confidence but also strengthened my passion for the marketing industry. Winning the award was a career highlight and further fuelled my ambition.

I believe it is crucial to have a body that celebrates success in marketing in Scotland, both collectively in terms of campaigns, as well as individuals – including those starting off their career.

Ross Beveridge, Brand Manager, Edrington UK Future Leader Member, Scotland
Pete Martin,

I really do recommend membership of the Marketing Society. Soft networks build careers and boost the economy – especially in a market like Scotland. That’s why it’s so important and so useful for everyone at every stage of their career to get involved in their professional network.

The Marketing Society is one of the most well-connected groups in Scotland – and probably the most inspiring and enjoyable. You’ll find peers who become pals, not just business associates or even competitors. With easy outreach to London, New York, Singapore and the Middle East, the Society gives you a window on the world too.

Pete Martin, Always Be Content Vice Chair, The Marketing Society Scotland
Ashleigh Chalmers

The Marketing Society Scotland has given me sight of just how expansive the community of Scottish marketers is - and it feels great to be a part of that group and to feel the support that we offer to each other. Meeting peers at Future Leader events provides another opportunity for me to be inspired and encouraged by MSS members who are at a similar life/career stage. Networking is such a crucial part of developing a fulfilled career, and the FL events offer the perfect opportunity to make connections that may last a lifetime.

Ashleigh Chalmers Account Manager, Lane Media Future Leader Member, Scotland
Kate Newton

Being involved in the Marketing Society has definitely impacted my decision-making when it comes to thinking about my career journey, it’s often been a consideration when looking at more London-centric roles, in the sense that I would miss out on the Scottish marketing scene and have to say goodbye to the wonderful connections I’ve made through the society. To me, this shows how important my membership is in terms of the contacts I’ve made along the way.

Kate Newton, Strategy Director, Multiply Future Leader Member, Scotland
