Lee Henshaw Dino Myers Lamptey

Join The Marketing Society Board Member Dino Myers-Lamptey and Lee Henshaw for a hands-on, two-hour workshop from In the Loop, that introduces you to one of the fastest-growing roles in marketing: the marketing engineer.

A marketing engineer is the person on the team who can spot a workflow worth automating and then build the AI agent that automates it. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that teams without these builder-strategists will fall behind, and some US companies are already paying as much as $300,000 a year for the role.

In this session, you’ll see how a marketing engineer combines solid marketing knowledge with systems thinking, as you rebuild the positioning statement agent that Into-it created with the London School of Economics.

You’ll build it step by step in n8n, the popular node-based automation platform, and leave with a working copy of the agent and the confidence to start building your own.

The paid workshop is limited to 12 people, so Dino and Lee can sit alongside you while you build.

This is for marketers who use AI every day but haven’t yet built an agent, marketing leaders who want their teams automating strategy work rather than just busywork, and consultants and freelancers looking for a repeatable positioning method to bring to clients.

Note that The Marketing Society are supporting this event but it is run by In the Loop.

What the session will cover

The totality of marketing: what we really mean when we talk about marketing, and why teams are now expected to do more with less.

Automation as a growth engine: why every team needs people who can spot workflows worth automating, and why a top-down approach to automation won’t work.

The role of the marketing engineer: the two skills it combines, basic marketing and systems thinking, and why demand for it is rising so quickly.

A glimpse into the marketing department of the future: Lee shares a report on the AI marketing department Into-it is building with the London School of Economics, which Marketing Week described as an early look at how marketing teams will work.

Positioning explained: using the University of Virginia structure of target, brand, category, point of difference and reason to believe, you’ll see why positioning is one of the most important decisions a marketer makes.

Build your agent: together, you’ll rebuild Into-it’s positioning statement agent one node at a time, using any of the major AI models plugged into n8n.

What to bring

A laptop, an account with Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, and a free n8n account set up before the session. Dino and Lee will show you how to connect everything as you build.

What’s included

Two hours in a small group with Dino Myers-Lamptey and Lee Henshaw, plus the finished Positioning Statement Agent as a file you can install in your own n8n account.

Rachel Letham

Marketing engineers in America are already earning as much as $300,000 a year. UK marketers can’t afford to fall behind. That’s why we’re working with Dino and Lee, who will show our Members how easy it is to talk these agents into existence. I did one of their workshops myself and I’ve been building agents ever since.
