What’s your golden rule?
Do the obvious thing - who cares if you embarrass yourself. In other words "be like a puppy" everyone loves puppies.
Who has been your biggest influence?
A fictional character, Ian Dunross from a book I love, Noble House. He just gets on with it, puts problems in their boxes and has nice suits.
What is your most hated business expression?
"My team" vs "our team".
What’s the smartest business idea you’ve ever had?
It's not my idea, but Nintendo uses a product-development philosophy called “Lateral Thinking with Withered Technology.”. Basically copy other industries and see what sticks.
Which leader do you admire most and why?
Horst Schulze - ex leader of The Ritz Carlton. Make your customer satisfied and empower your team, the money will take care of itself.
What is on your mind the most right now as a marketing leader?
New mediums, same ideas. Humans don't change.
Why is being part of The Marketing Society important for your career?
A chance to meet others in the industry and hopefully make some friends.
Why does marketing matter to you?
I like selling things - Marketing is just a framework for structure and effectiveness (and hopefully fun in the process).
