My Dad - he worked his arse off to get from nothing to something, but always put family first

What’s the smartest business idea you’ve ever had?
Vending machines in bars and nightclubs that sell hangover kits (I'm still open to partnerships if anyone is interested)
Which leader do you admire most and why?
Ben Francis from Gymshark. He had a simple but clear business idea that he executed from the ground up. He also had the self-awareness to step aside as CEO when he realised the business needed someone else to drive it forward. He's proof that age doesn't equate to success and also just seems like a really nice bloke.
What is on your mind the most right now as a marketing leader?
How to dedicate enough time to reading, researching and learning about all the things we need to know to be successful, while also doing the day job
Why is being part of The Marketing Society important for your career?
Success doesn't come from progress in isolation, it comes from being inspired by and learning from others
Why does marketing matter to you?
Apart from paying the bills, I love that it's an industry that evolves with the world - societal changes, technological advancements and an ever-evolving set of brands
Tell us something that’s not on your CV
I did a paper-round at 13 that paid me £15 for 7 days a week (£5 of that was spent in my employer's shop on sweets and magazines) and I didn't have day off for two years
