We are delighted to bring you a Member Interview with Sherry Mansour, managing director - MENAT.

What’s your golden rule?

Be Authentic

Who has been your biggest influence?

The biggest influence in my life has been my mentor and friend, Ayman, who guided me through the early stages of my career. As a seasoned professional in media sales, his expertise and dedication to excellence have been truly inspiring.

What is your most hated business expression?

My most hated business expression is 'let’s circle back.' While it’s meant to convey that the topic will be revisited later, it often feels like a way to avoid making a decision or taking action in the moment.

What’s the smartest business idea you’ve ever had?

The smartest business idea I’ve ever had was implementing an internal innovation competition to foster creativity and identify new revenue streams. This idea emerged from recognising the untapped potential of our talented team members and the need for fresh ideas to stay ahead in the competitive ad tech industry.

Which leader do you admire most and why?

I admire, Elda Choucair. She is a distinguished leader in the media and advertising industry, known for her innovative thinking and transformative impact. As a trailblazer in her field, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to excellence.

What keeps you up at night as a marketing leader?

As a marketing leader, my role involves driving growth, innovation, and team success across our global operations. Several key concerns often keep me up at night, most importantly are the below: Staying Ahead of Industry Trends, Managing Uncertainty and Risk and Achieving Measurable Results

Why is being part of The Marketing Society important for your career?

Being part of The Marketing Society is a pivotal aspect of my career development as a marketing leader. This prestigious organisation offers numerous benefits that enhance my professional growth and effectiveness. Professional Development, Networking, Access to Resources and Inspiration and Innovation

Why does marketing matter to you?

Marketing matters to me because it is the perfect blend of creativity, strategy, and impact. From a young age, I have been fascinated by the power of storytelling and its ability to connect people. Marketing allows me to harness this passion and transform ideas into compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

Tell us something that’s not on your CV

Something that’s not on my CV is my experience with babysitting for friends and family. Taking care of children has taught me patience, creativity, and the importance of responsibility. The joy of helping to shape young minds and seeing their curiosity and happiness grow is incredibly rewarding.
