Laura Smyth

Comedian/Host at Anniversary Dinner

East Londoner Laura recently won the prestigious 2019 Funny Women Stage Award. The Funny Women Awards recognize new female comedy talent across performance, writing, film and production. As part of her prize Laura is currently being mentored by comedian Jo Brand, the newly appointed ‘matron’ (patron) of Funny Women, a not for profit community helping women to perform, write and do business with humour.

Mum of three and teacher Laura has quickly caught the eye of the industry to be described as a ‘force of nature’ (Steve Bennett, Chortle) and although relatively new to the comedy circuit, she ‘sounds as if she has been doing it all her life’ (Bruce Dessau, Beyond the Joke).
