Pepper Evans

VP, Product Strategy & Marketing, Capital One Walmart Partnership

Pepper Evans leads product strategy and marketing for the Capital One Walmart Partnership. Her team is focused on brand and program marketing across all channels and customer life stages. Pepper was part of the deal team that won the Walmart partnership for Capital One in 2018. She joined Capital One’s CCX Strategy, Marketing & Insights team in 2017 to lead marketing for eleven co-brand and private label partners in Card Partnerships. Pepper is also a member of the Northeast Market President’s Network.

Prior to joining Capital One, she spent 12 years at American Express. In her last role, she launched America’s first loyalty coalition, Plenti, as the VP/Head of Branding and Member Engagement Marketing. She spent 5 years in Amex’s Global Advertising & Brand Management group where she developed numerous innovative digital products and services that helped redefine consideration for the brand. She started her career at Amex by launching a merchant-focused golf team. Before Amex, Pepper held leadership position in the first wave of digital startups trying to dis-intermediate the travel, fashion, media, and financial services industries.

Pepper is a founding board member of the first US hub, in New York, of The Marketing Society, a 60-year-old global marketing organization. The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, where she is a member of the board, also benefits from her participation.

Pepper lives in New York City with her husband, Bob, and two labradoodles, Maddie and Enzo, and is a self-described ‘bird nerd’ who watches the seasonal migrations in Central Park. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
