Matt Davies and Pieter-Paul von Weiler are the founders of BetterBriefs, a training and consultancy that helps marketers write better briefs and realise more effective ideas. Their clients include LEGO, AT&T, Danone, IBM, eBay and more.
They are former creative agency strategists who’ve worked on thousands of briefs over the past two decades. Their work has garnered many industry accolades, including two Grand Effies and an IPA Effectiveness Award. Passionate about sharing their knowledge, they have published several studies and articles on brief writing and idea evaluation, including the largest global study into marketing briefs, the BetterBriefs Project and follow-on research into how ideas are evaluated: the BetterIdeas Project, launched with the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA).
