Sarah Alexander is a changemaker in music and youth development. Since 2008, she has transformed NYO from a national orchestra of 164 to a movement reaching over 10,000 teenagers annually - championing access, teenage leadership, and the power of orchestral music as a force for change. Her work places teenagers at the heart of musical excellence and cultural relevance. Formerly Director of WNO MAX, she transformed the engagement & education ethos at Welsh National Opera. Sarah is an award-winning arts leader and passionate advocate for creative potential. She was awarded an OBE in 2018 and is a Fellow of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
