Sir Lenny Henry on diversity in TV and advertising

Lenny Henry on diversity
At Thinkbox's annual ‘Big Think’ event they set some time aside from the daily whirl to debate some of the most important and fascinating issues in our industry right now. In this filmed session, you can hear from Sir Lenny Henry talking to Karen Blackett OBE, CEO of MediaCom, about how advertising can play its part in the mission to get society represented in its true colours on our TV screens.

"One of the greatest TV moments for BAME was the Malteser girls", Lenny highlighted an advert from the confectionery brand as one of his three all-time TV highlights for black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME), alongside Nelson Mandela’s release from prison and Barack Obama becoming the US president.
