Tim Walsh is a distinguished writer, producer, and showrunner with a rich portfolio of work created for the small screen.
Most recently, Walsh served as an executive producer and showrunner for “On Call,” a groundbreaking half-hour series that premiered globally on Prime Video on January 9, 2025. The show utilized an innovative blend of hand-held cameras, bodycam, and dash-cam footage to deliver an immersive portrayal of police patrol life in Long Beach, California. “On Call” starred Troian Bellisario and Brandon Larracuente, which Walsh co-created, alongside his colleague and friend Elliot Wolf.
Walsh's career is also marked by a series of other significant projects. Most notably, he served as a writer and producer on NBC's “Chicago P.D.,” contributing to the show's critical acclaim. His role as co-executive producer on Starz's “Hightown” further showcased his storytelling abilities. Additionally, Walsh executive produced the highly successful Netflix mini-series, “Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer,” and co-executive produced USA Network's “Shooter” and “Treadstone.” All of which demonstrate his versatility across different genres.
A native of Chicago, Walsh had an unconventional entry into Hollywood, one that is both inspirational and aspirational. His is a story of the power of second chances and so he approaches his work and the world with an attitude of gratitude and passion. Walsh is an active volunteer and collaborator with Inner-City Arts, a Los Angeles based organization that offers elementary to high school aged youth from underserved communities, the opportunity to receive hands-on instruction in the visual, performing and media arts.
He currently resides in Los Angeles, where he continues to develop content that resonates with audiences worldwide.
