Christina Boutrup

Christina Boutrup is Head of Content at China Experience Academy, a China analyst, keynote speaker and the author of several books on business and technology in China. In her forthcoming book, The Green Superpower: How China Shapes the Future (Bloomsbury), she examines how China became the driving force of the global green transition, and what this means for businesses, industries and policymakers worldwide.

With a background in business journalism and more than 20 years of reporting on and working with China, she offers a balanced, first-hand view of the country’s tech revolution, from AI and digital business models to clean energy. She has visited many of China’s leading companies, from tech giants to fast-growing challengers, and met the people driving the change.

Through the immersive learning programmes she leads in China, she also sees how Western executives perceive the country, and where their blind spots lie. This combination of insight from the ground and an understanding of her audience allows her to challenge assumptions and open new perspectives.
