In a career that has spanned 31 years, Dean has worked on developing, activating and commercialising market-leading global brands.

In April 2014, Dean joined Shell as Global Vice-President – Brand to craft Shell’s overall brand strategy, defining how Shell businesses must leverage the brand into compelling customer value-propositions. This encompasses thought-leadership in brand purpose, brand advertising, digital-social media and creative marketing solutions for the entire Shell group.

Dean is also the CEO of Shell Brands International AG - a Shell subsidiary that builds, nurtures and protects the Shell trademark value, for licencing to Shell companies and third parties.

Prior to Shell, Dean spent 15 years in senior Brand Marketing roles at Unilever, across a range of categories and markets: Regional Category VP – Deodorants Asia & Africa [Manila]; Regional Brand VP NEAsia & Greater China – Dove Skincare [Bangkok, Tokyo and Shanghai]; Senior Global Vice President – Salon Haircare Category [London].
