Inspiring Minds is a half-day learning experience designed to strengthen strategic influence, sharpen decision-making and deepen the impact marketers have within their organisations. For Members, by Members.

Our first Inspiring Minds session of 2026 will look at Influence That Matters: Building Brands, Strategy and Better Decisions - a highly practical half-day learning session designed for marketers who want to strengthen their strategic influence and drive better outcomes in complex environments.

The event brings together senior expertise from across financial services, B2B and leadership coaching. Attendees will leave with clear frameworks, practical tools and renewed strategic confidence to ensure brand and strategy genuinely shape business decisions - not just communications.

what to expect

Session One

Gill Wylie, Brand Strategy Lead, NatWest, opens the session with a strategic exploration of brand as a business asset, sharing client- and agency-side perspectives on how brand platforms are built, defended and activated beyond advertising to influence culture, behaviour and customer experience.

Session Two

In the second session, Lorna King, Head of Marketing at Hymans, will focus on the realities of strategy under pressure in complex, regulated and functional categories. Drawing on real-world experience, they will explore how marketers can create meaningful differentiation, balance long-term brand ambition with short-term commercial demands, and apply AI in practical, value-adding ways to support insight and decision-making.

Session Three

The final session, led by Lisa Hopper (ECPC, PCC), Founder of The UK School of Coaching & Self-Mastery, addresses the often-overlooked capability of better thinking. Participants will learn techniques to improve decision-making, navigate assumptions and group dynamics, and increase influence in high-stakes conversations.
