EVENTS

How many events can I attend as a member of The Marketing Society?

Unlimited, we run our events for you and it would be great to see you at as many of our events as possible.

Can I attend an event if I am not a member?

You can attend one event as a non-member to experience the network. A member can send a non-member to replace them once at no extra charge. After this there will be an additional charge added of £25. Non-members that replace a member will also be subject to the one event rule, whereby they will not be able to attend another event unless they themselves become a member.

Where can I watch the video from the last event I attended?

For the events we film (such as our Flagship events) our videos - exclusively for our members - are found in our Cinema.

Do you run events outside of London?

Yes, we run an extensive programme of events in Scotland, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai.

How many and what type of events do you run?

We run approximately 80 events a year in the UK, with around 20 across Asia and a growing number in Dubai. These events vary in style and format, from our Annual Conference & Dinner to Under the Spotlight events, Annual Lectures and Digital Day. We also run a variety of social events such as our Summer Party, Christmas Drinks and Cocktail Confidentials. All our events are underpinned by our Manifesto for Marketing. We are always looking for new ideas on event formats so if you have any ideas please contact us.

How do I book onto an event?

Our events can be booked online via our Clubhouse. You can also book by calling us on +4420 8973 1360 or emailing bookings@marketingsociety.com. If an event is not available to be booked online please contact the team as it may be that the event is sold out and we can place you on a waiting list.

What happens if I have booked an event and I would like to send someone in my place?

A member can send a substitute delegate in their place if that person is also a member of The Marketing Society at no extra cost. A member can send a non-member substitute in their place at a non-member charge (this rate varies depending on the event, please contact us to confirm the rate). Non-members that replace a member will be subject to the 'one event rule', whereby they will not be able to attend another event unless they themselves become a member.

What are your standard event cancellations?

Tickets can be cancelled up to two weeks prior to the event date. All cancellations will be subject to a 30% administration charge. Any cancellations made within the two weeks prior to the event will be charged at the full ticket price.

What is your Annual Conference & Dinner cancellation policy?

Tickets can be cancelled up to two months prior to the event date. All cancellations will be subject to a 30% administration charge. All cancellations made within the two month’s prior to the event will be charged at the full ticket price.

The programme is a unique development experience for high potential individuals who are preparing for marketing leadership roles. Now in its twelfth year, this blend of marketing and people leadership skill development, delivered by eminent industry leaders and leadership experts, is designed to help shape the great marketing leaders of tomorrow. Our programme is split into two areas: Europe, based in London and Asia, based in Singapore. (Our USA programme is coming soon).

Our #OnesToWatch is an exclusive initiative strictly for our corporate members. The 2016 Marketing Society Excellence Awards are now open for entries. The awards are designed to be accessible to organisations of every size and description. There are special prizes for smaller companies, not for profit organisations and business to business marketing. The Awards categories reflect strategic marketing objectives that are common to all organisations. Your submissions will be judged against the marketing achievements of all types of business – rather than just those of direct competitors in your industry sector. How many events can I attend as a member of The Marketing Society?

Unlimited, we run our events for you and it would be great to see you at as many of our events as possible.

Can I attend an event if I am not a member?

You can attend two events as a non-member to experience the network. A member can send a non-member to replace them once at no extra charge. After this there will be an additional charge added of 25% of the ticket price. Non-members that replace a member will also be subject to the two event rule, whereby they will not be able to attend another event unless they themselves become a member.

Where can I watch the video from the last event I attended?

The Marketing Society flagship events based in the UK can be found in our Cinema along with a selection of interviews from our events in Asia.

How do I book onto an event?

You can book your event tickets by emailing bookings@marketingsociety.com.

What happens if I have booked an event and I would like to send someone in my place?

A member can send a substitute delegate in their place if that person is also a member of The Marketing Society at no extra cost. A member can send a non-member substitute in their place once at no extra charge. After that there will be an additional charge each time a member is replaced by a non-member. Non-members that replace a member will be subject to the one event rule, whereby they will not be able to attend another event unless they themselves become a member.

From the point of your booking, tickets can be cancelled up to two weeks prior to the event date subject to a 30% administration charge. Any cancellations made after this time will be subject to the full ticket price.

The 2016 Marketing Society Excellence Awards are now closed for entries. The awards are open to entries from all across the globe and are designed to be accessible to organisations of every size and description. There are special prizes for smaller companies, not for profit organisations, business to business marketing and the best entry from outside the UK. The Awards categories reflect strategic marketing objectives that are common to all organisations.
