The 40th Annual Marketing Society Awards gathered the sharpest minds in the business to celebrate four decades of marketing magic, and with Ben Hanlin as host, the night had a little extra abracadabra to it!
As proud sponsors of this year’s Awards, we wanted to do something a bit different. So, we took a trip down memory lane and brought a retro arcade experience, complete with old school classics like Pac Man and Street Fighter.

This wasn’t just about racking up high scores or dodging digital ghosts, it was about something deeper: loyalty, connection and the pure joy of nostalgia.

While loyalty programs these days might be powered by data and AI, the heart of loyalty is still wonderfully human. It’s about making people feel something.
Nostalgia does exactly that. It taps into memories, emotions and a simpler time when your biggest decision of the day was whether to spend your last 10p on a Freddo or risk it all on `one more go' at Street Fighter.
And that’s the point, the brands that win at loyalty are the ones creating moments that stick. It’s not always about flashy tech or discounts (although let’s not pretend we’d say no to a free coffee), it’s about making people feel seen, valued and a part of something bigger.

The Marketing Society Awards were a celebration of that very idea, recognising the most creative, impactful and exciting work in the industry. We were genuinely honoured to be part of it, and even prouder that our very own Simon Jamieson was involved in the judging process and took to the stage to present one of the awards.
