In her new role with the society, she will be tasked with providing strategic advice to the its fiduciary board in London, as The Marketing Society continues its global expansion.

Weener's position will be filled by current Singapore Chair, Erica Kerner, who is also senior vice president and head of marketing strategy and partnerships, commercial at ONE Championship. Kerner will oversee the society’s three hubs, including Hong Kong, Singapore and India in APAC, while she has been the Singapore Chair for four years, having previously been on the board in Hong Kong with her role at Tiffany & Co.

Subsequently, Kerner will be replaced by Wendy Walker, senior director marketing, Salesforce APAC, effective from 1 January 2021. Walker has been on the Singapore board for two years and will lead the hub as it continues to grow its membership and provide more opportunities for members to connect and have important conversations that advance the industry.

"With Singapore having one of the most innovative and dynamic marketing industries, there continues to be an incredible opportunity to grow the society, provide thought leadership and industry contribution, and importantly have a positive impact on the community," said Walker.

The Marketing Society's CEO Sophie Devonshire is looking forward to the appointments. She commented, "I am absolutely delighted that we have a trio of game-changing marketing leaders in our most senior leadership positions in APAC and globally."

"We are so excited to welcome Walker to lead the Singapore hub and with her calibre as a marketing leader, along with her unrivalled energy, will be a force as our Singapore hub continues to grow even through this challenging period," she added.
